Awareness Leads to Change
Together, we will choose a subject that is relevant to your group. Having someone talk about universal parenting issues really helps normalize the parent experience and breaks down the isolating walls of fear, loneliness and shame that many parents feel.
I will begin by introducing the chosen subject, and leave plenty of the time for questions and answers from parents. When people start sharing their struggles, not only do they they receive on the spot guidance, but others relate to the issues that are brought up and realize they are not alone.
This is how real connection begins. By engaging the members of your organization in an open and free discussion, I can help transform a group of people into a community. Conversations continue and walls of isolation fall away. A community that supports and empathizes with each other grows. Before you know it, they will be sharing their victories as well!
I am available to speak at parent groups, preschools, grammar schools, conferences and parent education groups in Los Angeles, California and beyond.

Does your organization work with and support children? Maybe you have young adults as summer camp counselors, teachers wanting to foster connection and cooperation, a children’s museum or organization that offers after care and activities for children.
Together we can create a training that best serves your organization’s specific needs. One, two and three day trainings include gaining an understanding of child development, which helps manage expectations, finding playful and age appropriate ways to increase engagement and reflecting on what gets in the way of connection by bringing awareness to internal bias and the life experiences we bring with us. Through games, stories, modeling and practice staff grows their confidence, playfulness, empathy and ability to authentically connect to the children and parents they work with, creating a richer experience for everyone involved. I love supporting young adults that have made the choice to work with children. My first job in high school was an after school teacher and then a counselor and director of the summer camp program.
